Emily June Designs 2023 Wrapped

As we bid farewell to 2023, it's astonishing how the year has unfolded, filled with remarkable moments and experiences. Before we embrace the upcoming year, let's take a moment to reflect on some of our favorites from this past year. From the tunes that dominated our playlists to the hidden gems in our favorite lunch spots, we're excited to share this years 2023 wrapped, Emily June Edition.

Most played song in the studio

This year, "Good Looking" by Suki Waterhouse became the ultimate go-to jam in the studio. We couldn't get enough of this indie ballad during our workdays—it seamlessly set the perfect vibes around our creative space.

This years favorite fashion designer

Dauphinette, the unique womenswear brand based in New York's West Village, stole our hearts this year with its one-of-a-kind, made-to-wear pieces. Founded in 2018 by Olivia Cheng, Dauphinette began with reworked vintage outerwear and has since expanded to feature unique jewelry and accessories alongside its ready-to-wear collection.

Emily June Design’s color of the year

This year's color of the year is Deep Crimson Red, a hue that we've embraced across various scales, from bold wall paint to accent pillows. The richness this color brings to a space has captured our admiration!

#1 Drink in the office

In the office, our ultimate go-to drink has been Celsius. Whether we're sourcing pieces for clients or navigating through full days of installations, Celsius has been the fuel that keeps us going!

#1 Drink out of office

Beyond the studio hustle, our drink of choice has got to be the fabulous Pink Negroni. Picture this: zesty Lillet Blanc, fresh lemon juice, and a splash of sunshine – that's the twist on the classic Negroni. Now, to kick it up a notch, the recipe calls for some tart Burlesque Bitters with hibiscus vibes from Bittermens and a hint of tarragon for those floral, herbaceous notes. It's not just a cocktail; it's a whole vibe!

ingredients

2 oz. gin

1 oz. Campari

1 oz. fresh lemon juice

1 oz. Lillet Blanc

3 dashes Bittermens burlesque bitters

1 sprig of tarragon, for garnish

Movie of the year

With a combined watch time of everyone at the office, "Barbie" claimed the title of the movie of the year. It's not just a good movie; it boasts a stellar cast and delivers a positive message!

Go to lunch spot

Dangerously close to the office, our go-to lunch spot this year has been Bollos Pizza, located at 2202 W Alabama St A, Houston, TX 77098. Their wood-fired pizza is divine and perfect for a quick lunch in or to bring back to the office to savor.
